Akane clan is one of the huge vampire clans. Meaning of the name: brilliant red. They're all pureblood vampies like Kurans. The leader of the clan is Akane Nameo, mother of my OC, Akane Amaterasu. She became the leader when her husband died.

Amaterasu, the name composed of the elements ama "heaven, sky" and terasu "to shine," hence "shining over heaven." In mythology, this is the name of a sun goddess who rules the heavens. That's why Nameo choosed this name for her daughter. When she will die, Amaterasu wil be the leader of the clan, so she have to be strong.
